Built at 700 m altitude, perched on a lush slope of Paikos, 30 km from Axioupolis and 6 km after Skra. It welcomes the visitor through fountains and streams that flow into its steep streams that adorn the environment with lakes and waterfalls. The unexplored and untroubled places are developing a special wetland that rewards the primitive explorers above.
The history of the village is lost in the depths of centuries, where important findings and references confess its intense activity, both during the Turkish occupation and after the Greek state was formed.
Various reports indicate the population, from 1879 to the Ottoman census of 1905, between 435 and 800, with the main occupation being livestock, agriculture, and silkworm cultivation.
The locals, Vlachs of origin, up to date maintain their customs, customs, language and traditions, mainly through the activities of the Cultural Association.
A particular landmark and historical monument of the post-Byzantine era is the village church dedicated to the Assumption. The famous waterfalls between Skra and Kupa are also a worthwhile attraction. The visitor can still find outings in the surrounding villages of Skra, Archangelo, M. Livadia etc., as well as in the virgin and often unexplored environment that surrounds Koupa.
